Suri Silk is a light-as-a-feather laceweight blend of baby-soft Suri alpaca and silk hand-dyed in Emma's signature range of fun, candy-colored shades. Its cloudlike texture knits into gossamer light fabrics with a subtle silky sheen and a downy softness that wears weightlessly against the skin.
Unlike classic mohair/silk yarns,Suri Silk's alpaca content gives it a fluffier halo and something a bit more substantial to hold and knit with. It's also a fantastic option if you've ever experienced a mohair sensitivity- it's just so soft!
The Twist Cowl begins as a knitted tube that's worked in the round. Then, just before seaming the ends together, you'll give the tube a half-turn to create its signature twist.
If you can cast on, cast off, and mattress stitch, you can make this cowl! The twist also helps the cowl lie beautifully against your neckline - just pop it on and go, no fuss, no muss!
