The foundation of this super-cute cardi is Flora, our buttery, springy, worsted-weight merino. We dye every skein in-house in nearly-solid shades. Each one knits into beautiful fabric with depth and character that adds richness to every stitch.
And because Flora is 100% superwash merino, it’s as practical as it is beautiful. Busy parents will appreciate that you can machine wash on cold, gentle cycle, then lay flat to dry. Easy peasy!
Designed by Elizabeth Smith, the Little Coffee Bean is knit top-down and seamlessly, making it approachable for newer sweater knitters. The pattern includes tips and tutorials for each technique—perfect if it’s your first sweater, or if you’d like to practice before tackling an adult-sized version. (Yes, there’s one for grown-ups too!)
We knit ours in Pollen + Ice Cream, creating bold stripes that show off Flora’s color palette beautifully. With so many coordinating shades, the possibilities for playful or classic color pairings are endless.
To knit your Little Coffee Bean in sizes: 3 (6) 12 (18) months, you'll need:
- Loop Flora: 1 (2) 3 (3) skeins in a main color (shown in Pollen) and 1 (1) 1 (1) skein in a contrast color (shown in Ice Cream) -choose your colors below.
