Our Garter Triangle Shawlette pattern uses simple stripes for fun color. Relaxing, beginner-friendly, and wearable, it's perfect when you want colorful knitting but don't want to work from a chart. We knit ours in Isager's laceweight Spinni, a cozy yet light single-ply wool yarn.
The shawlette is worked top-down from the center out, with two-row stripes along the way. Once you get started, you'll settle into its easy rhythm. It's perfect for watching your favorite TV show, taking to knitting circle, or carrying in your bag to pick up whenever you have a few minutes. It’s a great project for newer shawl knitters, but just as appealing if you’ve been knitting for years and want something relaxing and rewarding.
Spinni is a lace-weight yarn with beautiful color depth and a classic woolly feel. It creates a fabric that’s light and lofty, yet surprisingly sturdy for such a fine yarn. The colors work especially well together, making stripes feel interesting without being busy.
You’ll use four colors of Spinni: two main colors and two contrasts. We’ve put together a few of our favorite color combinations to get you started.

- Isager Spinni colors 52s, 36s, 17s, and 26s.
