Bold color, plush comfort, and instant gratification in every squishy stitch. Malabrigo Rasta is a legendary super-bulky yarn designed for high-impact projects that knit up in a flash. Spun from 100% merino wool, this thick, single-ply yarn is incredibly soft and lofty, allowing Malabrigo’s signature hand-dyed colorways to take center stage in all their vibrant glory.
Embrace the chunky knit trend with these quick and satisfying patterns:
Rasta is the yarn you reach for when you want drama without the effort. It glides through large needles with ease, providing a plush, squishy experience that is addictive to knit. Because the color is built into the fiber through a unique kettle-dyeing process, every skein is a unique work of art. It is particularly well-suited for beginner-level projects because it makes every stitch look impressive. Whether you're knitting a cozy beanie for yourself or a luxury throw for a friend, Rasta delivers a sophisticated, high-impact result every time.

Haven’t used it yet.
I like the Malagribo yarns a lot. I like the colors and I like that they are handmade in Peru. I do find the unevenly weighted nature of this yarn to be awkward for some projects but generally it has a good feel for hats and scarves.
I purchased it online and it is a little too chunky, and not very soft. I didn’t really enjoy knitting with it.
