Woolfolk Luft is soft and cozy yarn, easy to knit and work with. I made a turtleneck dickie that will be warm but very lightweight, perfect for wearing under a jacket.
This yarn is so fluffy and warm, makes great gifts because it's chunky. Though this feels like wool and it is, the main "yarn" is the cotton core, so you have to be careful with tension as it doesn't have as much give and you can easily make projects too large. Also, make sure your hands are well moisturized, because the wool will catch on any little crack or dry bit on your hands as you work it, which is both annoying and feels horrible. And finally, because the wool is blown into the core, it can be a little inconsistent in thickness. It didn't matter much for my project and the inconsistencies weren't that noticeable most of the time, but it is something to consider!
This yarn is truly fascinating. It is a chain core and then stuffed with wool! The outcome is amazing! Light and fluffy like a cloud!!!
