Make a sweater all in one piece! In this class, you’ll learn how to knit a seamless raglan sweater from the top down; cast on at the neck, work the yoke and shoulders until it’s time to separate the sleeves from the body, and then continue to knit the body and sleeves separately- no seaming required! This is an excellent choice for a first sweater project!
Materials: First RaglanSweater Pattern, US 5 and 7 circular and double-pointed needles, enough worsted weight yarn for the size you are making. We recommend Brooklyn Tweed Shelter or Tones.
Homework: Please come to the first class with your pattern and yarn selected and your swatch knit. We’ll give you swatching instructions when you select your yarn.
Skill Level: This is suitable for graduates of Knit 2 or those comfortable with knitting and purling in the round as well as increasing and decreasing.
