Make a sweater all in one piece! In this class, you’ll learn how to knit a seamless raglan sweater from the top down; cast on at the neck, work the yoke and shoulders until it’s time to separate the sleeves from the body, and then continue to knit the body and sleeves separately- no seaming required!
Materials: Pattern, chunky-weight yarn for the size you are making, US 6 + 8 circular needles.
You can knit with a single strand of chunky yarn or a worsted yarn held together with a strand of mohair. We are happy to show you all the options when you come in to select your yarn.
Homework: Please come to the first class with your pattern purchased, yarn selected, and your swatch knit. We’ll give you swatching instructions when you select your yarn.
There is homework knitting in between classes.
Skill Level: This is suitable for graduates of Knit 2 or those comfortable with knitting and purling in the round, as well as increasing and decreasing.
