Magic Loop: Knit in the Round with One Circular Needle is a hands-on class where you’ll learn how to knit small circumferences — like socks, sleeves, and hats — using just one long circular needle.
Magic Loop lets you skip traditional double-pointed needles and keep all your stitches on a single circular needle. If you’ve knit hats or simple tubes before but want what many consider an easier, more versatile way to knit smaller rounds, this technique might be for you. You’ll leave with the mechanics of the Magic Loop method and be ready to use it in your own projects.
Worsted-weight yarn and a US 8 40-inch circular needle.
Knit 2 or equivalent
Our classes are designed to be small, supportive, and hands-on. To make sure every student gets the attention they need, class size is limited to 8 students and spaces are filled on a first-come, first-served basis. All classes are held right here at Loop, 1914 South Street, Philadelphia.
We understand that schedules can change, and we do our best to be flexible while keeping our classes running smoothly:

Learning the Magic Loop to knit sleeves has enabled me to easily and happily knit sleeves. Due to post chemo neuropathy in my hands, using double pointed needles was uncomfortable and frustrating . I have knitted two adult sweaters and several baby/toddler sized ones. And I enjoyed it. I suggested this class to anyone!!!
