The
Slipped Stitch Vest is a new top from the Fibre Company's
Foundations: Luma collection. Wear it over a tank to keep the chill off in the A.C. this summer and then, as the weather cools, layer it over long sleeved tees and under denim jackets. I love it's versatility and minimal, simple style!
Luma is a lovely blend of merino wool, organic cotton, silk + linen; just the thing for 3-season wear. The fabric is soft and drapey, warm yet breathable, making for a project that's cool to knit in the summer, but you can wear in warm and cold weather alike.
This simple popover sports a stylish slipped stitch detail at the hems, sleeve cuffs and at the center of the front and back panels.
This project is ideal for beginners casting on their first garment. The construction is straightforward with no need to keep track of shaping. Knit all in one piece, you can practice your mattress stitch at the side seams!
