Flux Solemate is a hand-dyed fingering-weight yarn made of impossibly soft and springy 100% Shaniko merino wool. Shaniko wool is an ethically produced and fully traceable brand from Shaniko, Oregon, from sheep raised in the Western United States, and is milled in North Carolina. It's also certified by the Responsible Wool Standard (RWS), which ensures the welfare of sheep, the land they graze on, and the workers responsible for tending them both.
Freia spins three plies of this incredible yarn into a smooth, plush strand and then hand-dyes to create a slow-changing gradient. Flux Solemate is also superwash, meaning it can be gently laundered in the washing machine and popped in the dryer on a low heat setting.
