Colorblock Drea Shawl

The Drea Shawl is garter stitch, triangular shawl that simple to knit - in fact, it's a great first shawl project. We used a Fiberstory Gradient Set for an easy - and dramatic - colorblock effect.

The Gradient Set makes it simple. Start with the lightest color and switch to the next darkest shade as each runs out. We always started a new color at the beginning of a row. You don't have to, you could use all of each shade and change colors wherever they run out.

We used a Jul Pedestal Button instead of a shawl pin for a more modern look. Cleverly designed with a screw back, you don't need a buttonhole. Gently insert the post between the stitches and secure. With a Pedestal Button, it's easy to changes its position and to use it with other shawls.
