Learn to knit a great-fitting sweater using the Cocoknits Method by Julie Weisenberger! Julie's signature system creates a visual way to track knitting progress by customizing a color-coded Worksheet that guides you through the creation of a complete sweater.
This method uses top-down knitting that incorporates increases at specific intervals to create truly 3-dimensional shaping that doesn’t require seaming when you’re done. The neck, shoulders, and yoke are created together, so the shaping is softly sloped to hug the body in a flattering way, rather than squared pieces sewn together which turns out too boxy.
In this class, you'll choose either the Mabel (round neck) or Emma sweater (v-neck) to knit in class. You will learn to use the Cocoknits Method, set up your pattern, and create a sweater all in one piece!
You will need the Cocoknits Sweater Workshop book to take this class. It includes the Emma pattern and 7 other Cocoknits sweater patterns. If you'd like to make the Mabel sweater, you will need to purchase that pattern separately to work along with book.
Materials: Cocoknits Sweater Worskhop, Emma pattern is included in this book, Mabel is a separate purchase, chunky weight yarn for your selected size, needles to obtain gauge, stitch markers, stitch holders, tapestry needle. Cocoknits stitch markers are very helpful when using the Cocoknits Method.
Homework: Please come to the first class with your pattern purchased, yarn selected, and your swatch knit. We’ll give you swatching instructions when you choose your yarn.
Skill level: Students should be graduates of Knit 2 and have completed a few small projects and be comfortable knitting in the round.

Classes are limited in size and are filled on a first-come, first-served basis. Full payment is needed to reserve your space. Supplies are not included in class fee unless stated.
Cancellations must be made at least 3 days before the first class for a store credit or to move to a different class or session. We cannot offer a store credit if we receive less than 3 days notice. Unfortunately, we cannot offer make-up sessions, so please make sure you can attend each class. If a class is canceled, you’ll receive a full refund.
Classes with special guest teachers are non-refundable but may be transferred to a friend if you’re unable to attend.
