It's probably more due to personal preference, but I recently had a frustrating experience trying to use Mochi yarn for a hat and cowl pattern recently advertised on the Loop website. Very difficult to see the stitches, which because of the significant "halo" of the yarn, made stitches stick together and prevent easy and quick ripping back. Just not a fan...
I got mochi in the blueberry color way to pair with Rowan patina in sapphire for the Loop mochi sparkle cowl pattern. The color is exactly as shown and the yarn is fluffy. I’ve never worked with mochi before but I always find berocco to be great value yarns :)
This yarn is so nice feeling and light weight! I bought it to use with the hat pattern for a friend doing chemo. But I'm already thinking sweater... or shawl! The colors are as soft as the yarn! Very pretty!
