Shibui Knitalong!

We were so inspired during our last Shibui Trunk Show that the whole staff decided to have a Spring Shibui Knitalong. Each of us is knitting a different pattern, but we are all using beautiful Shibui!

If you also have a thing for Shibui, we'd love for you to join us. Some of us couldn't wait to cast on and some of us are still swatching, so join in when you're ready.

This is an informal KAL, so there's no set end date, but I have a feeling we'll move right along since once you start knitting with Shibui, it's hard to stop!

We have a Ravelry thread started and we'll be using the hashtag #loopshibuikal on Instagram, if you'd like to share your progress & photos in either place.

Want to join but don't know what to knit? Start by looking at the new Shibui patterns for spring. If those aren't quite right, here's what we're making:

I am knitting Julie Hoover's Lange pullover in Shibui Pebble. This blend of silk, merino and cashmere will add a little luxury to this simple shape that I can wear all the time!

Barb has started knitting the stunning combination of Lunar & Reed to make the Holey Comfort Cardigan. This is going to be an excellent 3-season sweater!

Kathy is making excellent progress on her Princess Fiona in Birch. This flattering A-line shape has a pretty asymmetrical lace panel set in the side. So cool!

Mary is knitting away on the ribbing of this stylish swoncho, Veronika, in Pebble & Silk Cloud held together. I cannot wait to see this one, because I might have to knit it as well!

Meghan loved her Shelter Weekender so much, she decided to knit another! She's going luxe with her Shibui version and holding Maai & Pebble together!

Meredith is thinking spring and knitting Cullum by Isabel Kraemer using Twig in Fjord. I think this will be a great top to have on hand as the weather warms!
