Pei is a knitting pattern for a loop scarf with lace detailing. Designed by Michele Wang for Brooklyn Tweed.
MATERIALS
Approximately 225 yards of fingering or sport weight wool yarn (see
Gauge note below). 1 skein of Brooklyn Tweed Loft yarn (100% American Targhee-Columbia Wool; 275 yards/50g). Sample shown in Postcard.
GAUGE
5.5 stitches & 8 rounds = 1" in blocked Stockinette Stitch. Note: Because of Loft's woolen-spun construction, it is able to achieve
a Sport Weight gauge without losing fabric integrity. If you are
subbing yarn, you will want to use a true Sport Weight wool, as
most fingering weight yarns will not be able to achieve a suitable
garment fabric at this gauge.
NEEDLES
One 24" circular needle in size needed to obtain gauge listed above
Suggested Size: US 5 (3.75 mm)
FINISHED DIMENSIONS
43.5" circumference, 5.5" wide; measurements taken from relaxed
fabric after blocking
TOOLS
Stitch markers, blunt tapestry needle
