Carlisle is a big, soft scarf with lots of color. It's knit with Madelinetosh's beautiful fingering weight yarn, Tosh Sock.

Carlisle's a great knitting pattern for beginners. Every row is knit, there's no purling at all, and you get practice picking up and knitting stitches, which is a useful skill. For experienced knitters, Carlisle is great for knitting on the go or with friends.

This kit includes:

- the Carlisle scarf knitting pattern and
- one (1) skein of each of the four colors of Tosh Sock shown in the photograph: candlewick, grasshopper, terra, and kelp.

The finished size is approximately 8 inches wide and 78 inches long.

You'll need 24-inch #5 and 40-inch size #5 circular needles, which are sold separately.
