Brooklyn Tweed Shelter is beautiful yarn made from 100% American wool in an historic New England mill. The fleece is dyed before it's spun and several shades are blended to make each color of Shelter. This gives the finished fabric a rich depth and creates a palette that's ideal for color knitting.
Shelter is woolen spun, which means the fibers are spun in the opposite direction of most yarns. The result is a light weight and warm yarn that's ideal for larger and more textured garments and accessories.
Shelter is the creation of knitwear designer Jared Flood. Click here to see Jared's knitting patterns for Shelter.
